We greatly appreciate the Senate President’s comments that the Senate’s gaming bill “is all about creating as many jobs as possible” for the citizens of the Commonwealth.
Citizens for Jobs and Growth in Palmer is ready for this next phase of the casino issue. We are ready to continue assisting the Town of Palmer in the preparation of applying for a resort casino license under the terms of the proposed legislation.
We urge State Senator Stephen Brewer to support this expanded gaming legislation. This is a great opportunity to advance job creation and economic viability for Palmer and all of Western Massachusetts.
Attached with this press release are pictures from the April 14, 2010 “Rally for Jobs” at the Basketball Hall of Fame. This rally was held by Citizens for Jobs and Growth in Palmer and the Pioneer Valley Building Trades Coalition. In addition to being well attended by members of the local trade unions and Palmer citizens, the rally was covered by local NBC affiliate WWLP 22 News.
